PTA, when issuing a show cause notice and hearing PTCL’s viewpoint, has directed the corporate to create necessary arrangements for meeting the wants for brand spanking new WLL sales as mentioned within the PTA’s customary Operating Procedure (SOP) for Wireless native Loop Subscribers’, that need Documentation and Activation of Connections when Verification from NADRA.
PTA additional directed PTCL to disconnect all numbers issued in excess in contravention of SOP, subject to verification with the subscribers and submit a compliance report back to the Authority inside seven days from the date of issuance of the order.
PTA in its order maintained that any criminal activity if committed on the numbers/connection issued by PTCL in contravention of the SOP, the licensee would be held liable and answerable for all legal consequences.
PTA said that so as to make sure the applicability of the SOP for WLL sales, authority sought info from PTCL with regard to subscriber’s info through e-mails and letters in late 2011 and needed it to furnish Wireless Service Agreement (WSAFs), CNICs copies of ninety eight VPTCL numbers and Antecedents of seventy six VPTCL subscribers.
In response to that PTCL was unable to provided any of the small print to authority, that lead PTA to issue a show cause notice to PTCL to clarify the case.
After obtaining responses from PTCL through letters and hearings, PTA concluded that PTCL had didn't meet the wants as mentioned within the SOP for brand spanking new sales and directed the corporate to follow rules and disconnect all recent numbers that weren't having correct registrations.
